What do our services provide?

Pj's Early Learning Centre & Kinder provides a high quality long day care service for all children 0-12 years, 52 weeks of the year, up to 10 hours a day.

 

We provide:

 

·         All meals and drinks (excl. formula) – Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea, Late Snack. Which are developed  to coincide with the Healthy Eating Guidelines and accommodate to special dietary requirements.

·         Nappies, Lotions, Wipes

·         Excursions and Swimming lessons Free of charge for 4-5 year old’s.

·         Before and After School care

 

What do I need to bring?

·         Change of clothes

·         Hat

·         Sleeping comforters

 

How do I enrol my child?

Call, email, online or drop by and meet the lovely Pj’s team and request a tour of the facility.

Do I need to pay fees in advance?

Only the fees for the previous weeks bookings are payable. A security bond of $150 per family is required before care commences and is refunded once the family no longer requires the booking.

 

What is the orientation procedure?

We understand that transitioning into a new environment can be times of excitement and joy but also stress and anxiety for both the children and their families. We also understand that each child is different and has different emotional needs that need to be met.
We believe in building strong relationships with families and children to allow them to feel a sense of security and trust at which they feel confident to explore and learn.
Therefore, we customise each families orientation process to suit the emotional needs of the child. Families are encouraged to stay and play with their child to familiarise them with their new learning environment until they are comfortable to separate from their family. This can be a process but we are very persistent and patient. We want to ensure the transitional outcomes for the families and children are positive.

 

Are the educators qualified?

The Centre Directors carefully choose the educators at Pj’s to ensure they are committed to providing the best quality education and care for all young children and are able to maintain respect, trust, confidentiality and the rights of the children and families. We have a Bachelor qualified Early Childhood Teacher on premises, Diploma qualified, Cert III qualified and trainees all of which are part of a community of professional learners, mentored and supported by their educational leader to ensure the children are receiving the best possible outcomes.

 

What are the Educator to children ratios at Pj’s Early Learning Centre & Kinder?

·         0 - 3 years: 1 educator to 4 children

·         3 - 4 years: 1 educator to 11 children

·         4 – 5 years: 1 educator to 11 children

 

At times when required we have extra educators in each room for the best interest of the children.

 

 

What if my child gets sick?

 

If your child becomes unwell, we will contact you immediately and you may be required to pick up your child. We are committed to providing healthy hygienic practices of a high standard to ensure the spread of disease and infection is stopped as soon as possible.

 

What activities are provided?

Our service provides a wide range of activities and experiences for all ages, understanding that children are capable, confident learners.
These include but are not limited to –

-       Literacy (Reading, Writing, Communication)

-       Scientific, Technology, Engineering Exploration

-       Creative Arts (Visual, Dance, Song etc.)

How do I apply for Child Care Subsidy?

Contact the Family Assistant Office on 13 61 50 or visit http://www.humanservices.gov.au/


They will assist you in receiving any Child Care Benefit you may be entitled to and will provide you with a Customer Reference Number (CRN) for you and your child. 

Upon enrolment, you will be asked to add these numbers to the enrolment form.

What is the fee payment policy?

Fees are payable by a Direct Debit System (No cash is kept on the premises) the service debits families accounts. A Direct Debit Request Agreement is required to be completed prior to enrolment, which remains confidential. All fees are automatically debited on a weekly basis,
